For years (perhaps hundreds like Dumbledore himself), we’ve watched Harry and his friends grow personally and academically with each passing year at Hogwarts. And, while their many adventures outside the school are worthy of their own cookbook, we’ve chosen to put together a cookbook about the dishes served at the Great Hall. Not only is it a magical dining hall, but the food is also quite whimsical and delicious – even if it’s just another regular Monday night at Hogwarts.

With students of all of the houses and teachers coming together there for three meals a day, we thought there is more than enough material to share the meals that keep everyone teaching and practicing their “Wingardium Leviosa”s – and it turns out, there is! So, for the next couple of weeks, we’re going to need you to head into town for some groceries (you can always just order them with your magic wand, of course!) because we’ll be busy making delicious recipes inspired by meals served at the Great Hall.

Of course, we’ve had to swap out a few ingredients here and there because we thought witch hair, cat whiskers, and troll nails aren’t usually sold at Walmart or Target – but don’t worry! Our muggled-up recipes taste just the same or even better as the original versions, so let’s get started!

We’ve got Butterbeer Poke Cake, Butterbeer Pie, Peppermint Toads, Golden Snitch Cake Pops, Polyjuice Potion Jelly Shots, Sorting Hat Cupcakes, and many more recipes! We’re excited to see what you start cooking! All you need now are some groceries and a magic wand to get started. We’ve already given you all of the ideas and recipes; now it’s your turn to bring the treats and dishes to life in your own kitchen and turn your dining room into the Great Hall! What do you know? Hogwarts is never too far away, is it? As long as you’re eating them, we’re pretty sure – muggle or otherwise – that you’re accumulating credits toward your Potions, Charms, and Alchemy classes.
