I wanted to share with you the hours of fun that I have had making wine and to let you know how simple the process can be. I’m not going to baffle you with science, but help you experiment and find the rewards in your new hobby.

The satisfaction you get and the sense of achievement that you will experience when all your hard work comes together is amazing. We modestly sip our master piece and say to ourselves “that’s not too bad” when really the satisfaction we feel inside screams for recognition. We want to shout “wow that’s damn good” and lavish ourselves with praise. Then the dilemma, should we share with our friends to raptures of applause to bolster our pride or just savour our hard earned nectar in solitary self-indulgence.

It doesn’t take much to become hooked on making your own wine. After your first success, you will appreciate the process and become an expert in your own field of preference. You may become fanatical about fruit, bonkers about berries or just passionate about potatoes. You will amaze yourself how creative you can become.
